Veggie Loaded Choc Smoothie

Choc Veggie Smoothie Recipe for when you’ve got your period!

Look I’m not claiming it will make you a nicer person but at least you’ll feel a little better after drinking it. It is rich in potassium from the banana, healthy fats from the avocado, nut butter and coconut.

Magnesium & iron from the cacao, dates & greens. Vitamin C from the greens, protein from the collagen plus loads more not to mention chocolate for breakfast... need I say more? Plus it makes that one thing to look forward to when it comes that time of the month.

Raw cacao vs cocoa...

Raw cacao is bitter and less processed when farmed and isn’t heat treated resulting in a more nutritional option rich in magnesium and iron compared to highly processed cocoa that usually has sweeteners added so read the ingredients list enjoy!

  • 2 tbsp nut butter
  • 1-2 tbsp protein or collagen powder (optional)

instructions:

NOTES:

You could make up a big batch and store in the fridge for up to 3 days to make your life easier during the week or store ingredients cut up in freezer bags.

You can pre freeze ingredients if you want it to be colder and creamier but I like my smoothies around room temp - otherwise they are too cold for my digestion. Omit some of the veggies if they are just too much for you and slowly add them in overtime!
