Creamy Choc Nice Cream

Salted Caramel, PB or Choc Chip Nice Cream... What’s your flavour?

Most people call this better than ice cream? Let’s not kid ourselves, I’m no liar... ice cream is goddamn delicious I don’t think anything beats ice cream but nice cream is DARN TASTY. Most definitely better for you than ice cream due to being much more nutritious and wholesome with WAY less sugar, no preservatives, flavourings or colourings also ideal for those who don’t tolerate dairy.

To me it’s not about having an unhealthy relationship with food but it’s about feeding your body with as much nutrition as you possibly can each and everyday. If ice cream is your weakness a recipe like this is great to save you during the week as your dessert or go to treat, kids will also LOVE it.

Not to mention bloody perfect on these hot days...

Creamy Choc Nice Cream

prep time: 5 minscook time: total time: 5 mins

ingredients:

  • 2 frozen banana (cut up)
  • 1/4 cup peanut or almond butter
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp collagen powder or protein
  • 2 medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

instructions:

  1. Blend the hell out of these ingredients - food processor or thermie is best a Nutri bullet will let you down! There is not enough liquid in this recipe to get it to work in the bullet.
  2. Leftovers? Throw it in a container to freeze and allow to sit out for 10-15mins before you want to eat it

NOTES:

If you don’t want it to be choccy you could cut out that cacao powder or if you want it to kinda be like Choc Chip add in some cacao nibs or dark choc.

You could also add in a little coconut yoghurt or coconut cream if you want it to be creamier (Coles/Woolies also now sell coconut chunks frozen and they are AWESOME) and with more added healthy fats!

Or sprinkle on some coconut collagen powder is a great addition will put a post up on collagen soon.
